Melbourne is known for their arts district. During our time exploring the city we noticed Matilda the Musical was playing. Aubrey loves theater and we thought it would be a nice treat for her to see a live show. We were last minute getting the tickets so the only seats left were excellent (but not cheap). We were sitting directly in the middle only a few rows back form the stage. The Princess theatre where it played was the oldest one in Australia and beautifully decorated.
I took a few photos of the box office and lobby while we were waiting to get tickets.
We decided on a Greek restaurant for dinner and then headed out to the show.
There were no photos allowed once the show started so I did not get any of the inside of the theater. (well I have one of the ceiling but it looks blue) We had a great girls’ night and Ella enjoyed a quiet night with daddy back at the hotel. The little girl playing Matilda was incredible and now I think Aubrey is even more hooked. Thank you to my wonderful husband for making a little girl so happy (and her mommy was pretty thrilled too)!
